This is the report from MNA Haitian Ministries Coordinator Dony St. Germain:
Thanks for all you do to help us reach the Haitian community through the Gospel. I was in Haiti and witnessed all the flooding caused by Noel. I just returned to Miami after 5:30 p.m. today (October 31). It is recorded that 40 people died from the flooding. All of the ten Departments (i.e., counties or states) of Haiti were affected. Many homes have been destroyed by the flood waters. Thousands of people are without shelter. Grand Groaves, Aquin, Jacmel, Cote de Fer, and many Southeast cities have been affected. We have a medical team that will go down this weekend and provide care for those in need. I will return to Haiti this Saturday and will be there the whole week. Through our churches and mission churches, we will be reaching out to people facing desperate needs, ministering in Jesus' name and sharing the Gospel. Please pray for us, please contribute, and please watch the MNA web site for future opportunities to send volunteer teams.
Thank you, in Christ's Name,
Dony St. Germain
MNA Haitian Ministries Coordinator
The following report was filed earlier on the MNA website after Hurricane Dean:
On August 18, 2007, El Shaddai Ministries, MNA’s Haitian Ministry led by Dony St. Germain, was delivered a substantial setback as a result of floods and strong winds triggered by Hurricane Dean. The natural disaster inflicted considerable damage to roads and agriculture; rapid water flows ruined many homes and also destroyed a generator that supplies power for the ministry headquarters in Cayes. Homes were lost in Torbeck, Tiburon and Chardoniere et les Irois -- all communities where church plants are under way. Pastor Louis St. Germain gathered citizens of Torbeck in the safety of the church and school that were recently built by short term volunteers. Sea waters rushed ashore and destroyed many homes and what little personal belongings the villagers owned. We hope to help those in these communities recover.
MNA Disaster Response is working with Pastor Dony St. Germain and has established an account to receive and process contributions to help our church family in Haiti to meet immediate and ongoing expenses and to help with rebuilding costs. MNA charges no fees in processing your gift; 100% will go to El Shaddai Ministries for recovery work. By giving through MNA, you will save El Shaddai Ministries the extra work of receipting and processing your gift. El Shaddai Ministries is strategic to the advancement of the Gospel in Haiti and has assisted in launching more than twenty eight churches and mission churches, as well as establishing vitally needed schools and orphanages.
Pray that the Lord will comfort our church family in Haiti and provide for them. Pray for the ministry leaders in Haiti as they are now challenged with new but temporary obstacles. Pray for those workers involved in the direct relief operations and decision making, that the Lord will equip them with Godly wisdom.
I also ask you to prayerfully consider how the Lord will have you participate in these efforts. El Shaddai welcomes volunteer missions teams; service is greatly needed. More preplanning is required than similar trips in the United States; please register your team and MNA ShortTerm Missions will work with you to plan for your team. Let us wrap our arms around our Haitian church family in the loving nature of our Savior Jesus Christ. To contribute online, please follow this link.

2008 English Ministry Pastors’ Conference CD Available
Some said this was by far the best EM Pastors’ Conference they have attended. The presentations were excellent, including messages from Paul Tripp, Young Hee Park, and Paul Lim. For those who were unable to attend the conference, you can order the conference CD by asking for the CD Order Form from Grace Song. Her email address is: gsong@pcanet.org or karisjsong@yahoo.com.
