In Ephesians, Paul speaks of Christ’s gifts given for the building up of the Body and the equipping of believers for the work of ministry. In the spirit of this biblical imperative, MNA will host several special ministry gatherings during the 36th General Assembly, June 10 - 13, 2008. These times have been designed to equip for and promote the advancement of the Gospel through the Church, in North America.
Pre-Assembly Prayer Meeting (12:45 pm –1:45 pm) on Tuesday, June 10, 2008
This hour of prayer is open to all Assembly attendees while seating is available. Join us for this important time of seeking and affirming God’s purposes for General Assembly.
MNA Church Planting Breakfast (6:30 am – 7:45 am) on Wednesday, June 11, 2008
Jesus’ commands us in John 13:34-35 to love one another and that loving one another is the defining characteristic of His disciples.
The PCA is changing. Racial diversity, variety in philosophies of ministry, different perspectives between the generations, more rich and more poor – all are increasing among us. How do we live with one another? How do we love one another? How do we appreciate our differences instead of letting them drive us to conflict? How do we “strive side by side for the faith of the Gospel” (Philippians 1:27)? Martin Ban, a church planter in Santa Fe NM will address these questions, seeking ways to build on the diversity God has brought among us, to bring a greater unity for the advancement of the Gospel.
MNA Chaplain Ministries Lunch (12:00 Noon – 1:30 pm) on Wednesday, June 11, 2008
Our PCA Chaplains are serving soldiers, Marines, sailors, and airmen in time of war, as well as civilian patients and prisoners in hospitals, hospice, retirement communities and corrections facilities. You are invited to come have lunch with us and hear stories and testimonies of what God is doing through Chaplains.
MNA Church Renewal Dinner (5:30 pm – 7:00 pm) on Wednesday, June 11, 2008
A church has no vitality without mission. We all agree with that, but sometimes it’s hard to put it into practice. A Biblical and Reformed theology includes a Great Commission vision for one’s community in all of its diversity. As diversity in race and socioeconomic conditions grow in our communities, our churches face greater challenges in outreach. Hear Reddit Andrews, from Sacramento CA, speak to these issues in a powerful, compelling way that will give you much to think about as we pursue the growing of biblically healthy churches.
MNA Outreach Ministries Breakfast (6:30 am – 7:45 am) on Thursday, June 12, 2008
Hear inner-city Church Planter Julian Russell tell the stirring story of scratch starting a church in the third poorest zip code in the US. Before beginning a new chapter of urban ministry in Dallas, Julian led New Beginnings in Memphis TN to organization as a particular church. Receive an update on the ongoing disaster relief efforts in New Orleans as told by Ray Cannata, pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Also hear MNA Special Needs Ministries Director Stephanie Hubach on equipping us to minister among people with disabilities.
Registration in now closed. If you have questions about these events, contact Jill Gamez at

Troops Participate in Easter Sunrise Service
