Networking the Church Planting Networks

a follow up to last year’s event sponsored by MNA on the topic of church planting networks

Hosted by Tenth Presbyterian in Philadelphia
October 6 and 7, 2009.
From noon on October 6 until 3:00 p.m. on October 7

This event will be heavily interactive, utilizing discussions and panels of experienced PCA church planting network directors to field participants’ questions and devoting time to prayer for one another and the work of the Kingdom.

Time will be spent exploring:

• why church planting networks are of strategic value
• how networks in the PCA have come into being and function
• how networks and presbyteries inter-relate
• the core elements of a church planting network

In addition, segments on:

• recruiting, developing, coaching and training church planters
• funding church plants
• seasons of prayer

With Special Guest Manny Ortiz, pastor of Spirit and Truth in Philadelphia and Co-Director (with Sue Baker) of the Philadelphia Church Planting Center. We believe it will be helpful to compare notes with someone who shares our convictions but can bring a different perspective from outside the PCA. Spirit and Truth has birthed 5 daughter churches in 7 years, using principles such as identifying, training, and mentoring leaders through the existing local church and seeing reproducing churches as a natural outworking of every church plant.

We highly encourage the attendance of:

• church planting leaders whether involved in a network or not
• presbytery MNA chairman are especially encouraged to attend due to the emphasis being given to recruiting, training, and funding
• anyone interested in church planting, including lay leaders, church planting candidates, and church planters

Registration package options include:
(all include registration fee and 4 meals)

• One night’s stay (October 6, double occupancy), $210
• Two nights’ stay (October 5 and 6, double occupancy), $310
• Commuter rate (no lodging included, registration and meals only), $125

Additional option: for a single occupancy room, add $90.00 per night.
