Urgent Appeal for Soccer and School Supplies for Iraqi Children

To All PCA/PRJC Congregations and Presbyteries,

I write to you because I need the prayers of as many churches as possible right now, even of the whole PCA.  There may be a chance that I may serve in some type of a group of Marines to visit the schools, orphanages, and Mosques to assess what the needs are in the community so that our battalion and consequently our nation can not only fight the fight with weapons, but by helping their poor, children, elderly, widows, and mentally ill.  Great doors have opened for me, doors that only God was able to open.

We, Christians are in the business of taking care of not only our poor, but the poor of others.  We are called to go after their poor and alleviate their suffering because Jesus came for us when we were yet poor and His enemies.  I have e-mailed my supporting churches, but I need much more if the PCA churches want to help.  I can assure you that these gifts will be given in the name of the churches of Christ Jesus !   Marines will be with me in this mercy ministry type of mission and they will see first-hand how the Gospel transforms people in word and deed.  We are breaking stereotypes like the one, "he is so heavenly minded that he is not earthly good."  Here goes the list with allocation percentages just in case churches need to know what to send more or less of

  • Soccer Balls 15% (note: these need to be deflated)
  • Soccer uniforms – just the shirts 6 -19 years old 15%
  • School supplies 4-17 years old (Extremely critical here) 50%
  • Hygiene items for Women 20%
  • Prayers and Supplication with Thanksgiving   100%

Jesus became poor so that we might become rich in him with all the eternal blessings of the Father.  What a Gospel !  What a God!
