Chaplain Candidate Program
Dear Prospective Chaplain Candidate,Thank you for your interest in the Chaplain Candidate Program. This is an excellent way to determine if you are called to the chaplaincy while you are also in seminary or pursuing your licensure and ordination requirements. Our ministry is happy to help you in any way we can. This application packet is specifically designed for the Chaplain Candidate Program. Provided here are the Application for Endorsement for Appointment as Chaplain Candidate as well as four copies of the Reference Form. You will be required to provide four (4) references total from two ruling elders and two teaching elders from your presbytery. Also included in this packet is the Sample Letter for Presbytery Endorsements to Chaplaincy Candidacy, which should be sent by your Clerk of Presbytery or the Chairman of the appropriate presbytery committee.
As the last step of the process, you will be required to complete a personal interview, which we will help you to arrange. Please let us know when you are ready to do so.
